Graduation Ceremony for Class 2020

The Class of 2020 finally entered the alumni ranks officially, following the graduation ceremony held in the school hall on 25 June.

Although there was a long delay of almost one year for the event to take place due to the pandemic, it hardly dampened the joyful spirits of our graduates as they celebrated this important milestone in their academic journeys with their parents and teachers.

In his address to the graduates, Principal Dennis Yuen made particular reference to the school motto: ‘The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.’ (Proverbs 9:1). He emphasized that wisdom, which is garnered from study and experience, is crucial for continued success in life.

After the Principal’s address, we were honoured to have College Councillor Francis Hon hand out the certificates to the graduates, and Dr. Arnold Cheng, Chairman of the College Council, present the major scholarships and prizes. Head Prefect Toby Truman Ng took the podium afterwards and delivered a vote of thanks on behalf of the graduates.

As the ceremony drew to an end, the congregation was treated to a video performance of our College Orchestra conducted by Professor Carmen Koon. The solemn yet jubilant afternoon concluded with the whole congregation singing the College Song.
